NEW World Record of Most Heads Shaved in an Hour<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Sturtevant, WI \u2013 On October 21, 2012 at the Brookfield Soccer Complex in Brookfield, WI, Andis sponsored the Be Brave and Shave fund-raising event for children\u2019s cancer research held by Milwaukee-based Roots Salon that also doubled as a new Guinness World Record for \u201cmost heads shaved in an hour. The previous record of 318 was set in Ireland in February 2011, but a team of 10 stylists\u2014Sami Teronde, Jeanette Schneider, Lara Huber, Ciara Ott, Nicky Bembenek, Becky Gbur, Jocelyn Wabiszewski, Heather Rodis, Elle Clements and Alicia LaChance\u2014established a new record of 371 heads shaved, mostly men and boys, a few women and a 1 year old. More than $50,000 was raised for Haven Anderson and CureSearch www.curesearch.com.<\/p>\n

Roots Salon co-owners Naomi Prusinski and Shannon Lopez organized the shaving event to raise funds to help cancer patients like two-year old Haven Anderson and whose mother Erin Anderson is a life-long friend of both Naomi and Shannon.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Adhering to Guinness guidelines of using professional tools for the official record attempt, Andis provided all the stylists with Envy Clippers, Experience Cordless Clippers, SuperLiner Trimmers, combs, capes, oil and disinfecting spray.<\/p>\n
