Online Entry Process is Open & New Finalist Experience Added<\/strong><\/p>\n

NAHA Entries Due February 8, 2013<\/em><\/p>\n

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is pleased to announce the online entry process for the 2013 North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) is now open. All entries are due February 8, 2013.<\/em> Due to the level and quality of entries, applicants are encouraged to utilize the tools PBA provides at probeauty.org\/naha<\/a><\/span> on how to create a successful entry.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For those that become NAHA finalists and attend the NAHA Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas, PBA is creating an all new \u201cfinalist experience\u201d that will include social events, networking opportunities, press training and education. NAHA finalists will also be pampered with special gifts, meals and entertainment. A NAHA finalist nomination is an amazing accomplishment and PBA wants to further recognize the achievement as well as provide additional tools and opportunities to expand career development.<\/p>\n

Other 2013 NAHA Changes & Developments<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Hairstylist of the Year:<\/strong> The new \u201cMen\u2019s Hairstylist of the Year\u201d award will be added to the lineup of the current 13 NAHA categories. The recipient of this new award must master current men\u2019s commercial, contemporary and wearable styling trends. \u201cMen\u2019s Hairstylist of the Year\u201d will honor a stylist who displays the highest proficiency in the designs and techniques used in men\u2019s styling and grooming.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Make-Up Artist of the Year:<\/strong> NAHA has also changed the entry rules for the \u201cMake-Up Artist of the Year\u201d award. For the first time, competitors can submit their own entries without being nominated by a hairstylist.\u00a0 This allows make-up artists not affiliated<\/em> with a stylist or salon to showcase their work.<\/p>\n

New Rules:<\/strong> Entrants should make sure to review the new Rules & FAQ’s before entering NAHA 2013! Several updates and changes have been made, specifically regarding the use of photo manipulation. All entries will require unedited images for all final entry images submitted. All applicants for all categories, except Make-Up Artist of the Year, must be licensed cosmetologists or cosmetology students and adhere to the specific rules and regulations of the category they are applying for.\u00a0 Visit the NAHA website at probeauty.org\/naha<\/a> for qualifications specific to Make-Up Entrants.<\/p>\n
