The PBA Regional Salon Summit<\/b> is a one-day event designed for salon\/spa and<\/p>\n

a successful entrepreneur and business leader who has triumphed in a turbulent<\/p>\n
economy, will demonstrate to audiences how difficult times can be turned into an<\/p>\n
opportunity for growth-both personally and professionally. She will address the<\/p>\n
PBA Business Forum on Sunday July 14 at 7:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA)<\/b> will feature renowned actor, author,<\/p>\n
entertainment journalist, producer and father Mario Lopez as host of the 2013<\/p>\n
ceremony. Lopez will also receive the 2013 PBA Beautiful Humanitarian Award<\/p>\n
honoring his charitable initiatives which include raising awareness and funds for<\/p>\n
causes that support the positive and healthy development of children and young<\/p>\n
adults. Lopez, who is a part of most every red carpet, mega-event in the<\/p>\n
entertainment industry and has co-hosted such events as the Miss America pageant,<\/p>\n
will no doubt lend his experience, charm and wit to this year\u2019s event. The 2013<\/p>\n
NAHA Awards Ceremony will be held Sunday, July 14 at the Mandalay Bay<\/p>\n
Resort. They will also be carried live on www.modernsalon.com\/naha.<\/p>\n

PBA CEO Round-Table: The Indie Brands<\/b> – With the salon sector once again showing<\/p>\n
signs of growth, opportunities are ripe for innovative brands to develop<\/p>\n
distribution and maximize their spotlight. The CEO Round Table will feature key<\/p>\n
decision makers from independent professional salon brands who will share<\/p>\n
insights on building distribution platforms and competing in the marketplace.<\/p>\n
This panel will take place on Sunday July 14, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

It’s All in the Details: A Legislative Update<\/b> – The beauty industry has seen<\/p>\n
dramatic changes with legislation over the past three years. A change in the current<\/p>\n
laws can impact everyone working in the industry \u2013 manufacturers of private<\/p>\n
label, contract manufacturers, suppliers and distributors. The top 3 beauty<\/p>\n
associations \u2013 ICMAD, PBA and PCPC – have collaborated to help salon\/spa and<\/p>\n
beauty professionals learn about areas to plan for in their own businesses and<\/p>\n
