Licensed since the age of 16, nail tech Jazmine Jones talks nail salon services and growing your Instagram following.<\/em><\/h2>\n

J<\/strong>azmine Jones got her start in the beauty industry at the age of five as she spent time in her mother\u2019s full-service salon. By 15, she was attending Joseph Phillips Academy, and by 16, she was licensed. She is now a full time Atlanta-based Nail Design Architect who offers a broad range of services and takes pride in educating her clients.<\/p>\n

And her work speaks for itself. With a 2,000+ Instagram following that is growing every day, Jones knows a thing or two about working an algorithm to track a lot of business and clientele to her page\u2014and she has let us in on a few of her secrets. <\/strong><\/p>\n

TBC: What is a nail service that you believe every nail salon should offer and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> Honestly I believe that every nail salon should offer natural nail services such as manicures and pedicures. They also should offer a broad range of artificial enhancements such as acrylic. It is very important for a nail salon to keep up with the styles and trends that are going on at the time.<\/p>\n

Growing your social media is a constant job.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

TBC:<\/strong> What would you say is your signature look?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jones: <\/strong>I consider my work to be Chic Modern. I feel my nails have a distinct look when it comes to shape and structure. It can be hard to describe.<\/p>\n

TBC:<\/strong> You have a pretty substantial Instagram following. What are some tips that have helped you grow your following on Instagram?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> Growing your social media is a constant job. First, you should be consistent: post daily, research your hashtags (they help spread your work as well), respond to DM\u2019s, [and] use the 80\/20 rule\u2014be 80 percent business and 20 percent personal. People like to see the mix of the two.<\/p>\n

TBC:<\/strong> What is the best piece of business advice that you\u2019ve received?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> The best advice that I have received was to never give up and take all failures as lessons. Entrepreneurship is not an easy road to travel.<\/p>\n
