The Beauty Consultant Magazine (TBC): Can you tell us what led you to launch HighOnLove?
Angela Mustone (AM): My background is in the beauty and wellness space, and I learned a lot from working for large-scale companies like Calexotics and Dermalogica. However, I always knew I wanted to own my own business. I created HighOnLove when I recognized the powerful benefits of CBD and hemp seed oil as they relate to beauty and intimacy products.  I wanted to destigmatize cannabis within the industry. I knew that the right formulas could lead to extraordinary results, and that was something I was passionate about pursuing.

(TBC): What has been the biggest challenge with launching your brand?
(AM): Funding and raising capital was the initial challenge. Now, it’s about the shift in how people shop after the pandemic and moving into mainstream retail spaces. There have been ups and downs, but it’s all about adapting. We’ve put way more effort into our online community on social media and elevating our website for e-commerce.

(TBC): Our readers at The Beauty Consultant Magazine are beauty professionals. How would you suggest our esthetician readers recommend your brand to their clients?
(AM): All HighOnLove products are cruelty-free, vegan, and made with natural ingredients. CBD and Hemp seed oil are star ingredients, which we harness for their anti-inflammatory and skin-nourishing properties. Our products promote self-care and relaxation, but they also pamper the skin, from our aromatherapeutic Sensual Bath Oil to our hemp Body Butter to our Sensual Massage Oils. HighOnLove products were designed to elevate body care, and they’re also packaged to make for beautiful gifts.

(TBC): What is in store for HighOnLove in 2024?
(AM): We’re in full-blown expansion mode, working with distributors in Europe to reach new markets in France, Germany, and beyond. There’s also a focus on making our way into mainstream wellness and beauty retailers internationally. Of course, we’re always developing new products; we just launched our Mini Sensual Massage Candles Collection and Sensual Bath Salts. Exciting things are ahead, and we’re seeing a lot of growth.

(TBC): What are the benefits of adding CBD to your products?
(AM): CBD is known for its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties, so it’s an ideal addition to body care products. There is no THC (the main psychoactive chemical in marijuana) in HighOnLove products, so you won’t get “high” or test positive on a drug test by using them. Our products do contain premium hemp seed oil and/or Cannabidiol (CBD), both of which offer benefits such as increased blood flow and skin nourishment.
