My Day Screen™ Launches Plant-based Mineral Sun Care Products to Protect Your Skin Against Blue Light and UV Rays

 My Day Screen™, the plant-based, dual focused mineral sun care collection introduces their Indoor and Outdoor Collection that protects the skin against blue light and harmful UV rays.  Brand creator, Susan Dudas, designed her sun care collection after a recent cancer diagnosis for both herself and her husband and wanted to create a clean, mineral-based sun care line for all.

Our story started with my husband’s diagnosis of skin cancer. Our dermatologist told us to use mineral sunscreen every day. We actively searched for mineral sunscreens with natural ingredients. After my diagnosis and radiation treatment for skin cancer, I became even more focused on finding natural, mineral sunscreen. However, we were disappointed to find products that claimed to be natural – but whose ingredients were high on the EWG’s Skin Deep scale. Many of these products left a white residue also. My disappointment turned to determination when I decided to bring to market our own plant-based products. The results are amazing” Susan Dudas, Founder, My Day Screen™.

 

The brand currently offers three products from their Outdoor and Indoor collections; each item is packaged in sustainable aluminum bottles, aluminum tins, or  recycled plastic tubes.

The collection includes:

  • Indoor Tinted Drops SPF 30 ($32) – a daily shield against everyday blue light exposure by up to 61%. Lightweight cream that is enriched with ingredients that brighten and hydrate the skin such as Mango, Watermelon, Pomegranate, and Sunflower. Select from the Fair/Light shade or the Light/Medium shade. Free of Octinoxate, Oxybenzone, Avobenzone and Phenoxyethanol. Plant based and Vegan. Packaged in a recycled aluminum bottle.
  • Sheer Face Cream Outdoor Active Protection SPF 30 ($30) a lightweight Vegan facial sunscreen that contains Watermelon, Sea Buckthorn, Carrot. This sheer cream will moisturize, and shield your skin from UV rays, free radicals, and pollution. Reef friendly non-nano zinc oxide & non-nano titanium dioxide based. It offers water resistance up to 80 minutes and is packaged in a recycled plastic tube.
  • Body Melt Outdoor Active Protection SPF 30 ($32) – This innovative new to market cream is designed to shield your skin from harsh UV-rays while working and playing outdoors. Formulated with nutritious ingredients such as Avocado, Pomegranate and Carrot, this creamy sun cream hydrates and protects the skin while offering 80 minutes of water resistance and UVA/UVB protection. Reef friendly non-nano zinc oxide & non-nano titanium dioxide based.

 

 

 

ABOUT My Day Screen™

Founded in 2020, by Susan Dudas after her husband’s skin cancer diagnosis, Susan became focused on finding a natural, mineral sunscreen that would protect herself against Blue Light exposure and harsh UV Rays while feeling like skincare. When Susan, could not find the ideal sunscreen – her determination to bring a plant-based mineral sunscreen to the market was ignited and My Day Screen™ was born. For each qualify sale, My Day Screen™ donates to two nonprofit organizations that support kids in finding stable homes. 

Giving back is also a huge priority to the brand, from each qualifying sale, two dollars is donated to two non-profit organizations that help children find stable homes: Kidsave, which helps older, overlooked children move out of foster care and orphanages into loving homes as well as and StandUp for Kids which is dedicated to ending the cycle of homelessness among teens.
