Patrice describes many real “growing pains” facing, from confidence shifts to flakey people. She

had to figure out a path that would allow her to bring her vision to life.

McKinney recalls her challenges with confidence. “My biggest challenge starting was building

confidence. Honestly, I was still trying to find and accept myself; that alone was a huge

challenge. So, to step into an industry where I am my boss, meaning I have to talk to people and

make business decisions, etc., I had to believe in myself 100% and build up the confidence I

needed to be a successful businesswoman.”

2023 is the year for entrepreneurs. Social media platforms create overnight sensations and

business owners with the click of a “share” button. With this boost in free advertisement and

endless possibilities, people have gained the confidence quit their 9-5 job to create the business

they’ve always wanted to or allow stay-at-home parents to bring in extra income by sharing

their talents.

“Not only could I be an owner, but I could also allow other hair and beauty professionals to become a business owner. That meant a lot to me!”
