Me & The Girls Wins Coveted Title As “Best New Product” During Jacob Javits Center Housed 2012 HBA Global Beauty Expo

On Tuesday, June 19th 2012 (New York, NY), premiering organic boutique beauty brand Me & The Girls received the highly coveted award of “Best New Product” during the internationally celebrated 2012 HBA Global Beauty Expo, which was housed within New York City’s famed Jacob Javits Center.

The international beauty expo, afforded attendees the opportunity to not only engage Sharon Hackney, founder/CEO of Me & The Girls, but guests were also gifted products from the brands spring/summer 2012 collection which concentrated on moisture, be it replenishing and/or enhancing by way of the emollient reparative butter found in the exotic cupuacu seed. Sustainably harvested from the rainforests of Brazil, the natural ingredient is known for its superior moisture retention properties. From the eclectic decorative tropical themed booth to the fragrant scent produced by the natural ingredients found within each of the six (6) key Me & The Girls product offerings, guests were taken on a magic carpet ride of sensual pleasure often evoked by more seasoned and commercial beauty brands, and not one who recently launched its website just days before.

As a participant in the emerging brand sanctioned “Splash Pavilion”, Me & The Girls was afforded the opportunity to present a product from the spring/summer collection, the Sugar Body Scrub, which would be showcased within the “New Product Innovations Showcase”. By participating, attendees of the HBA Expo were allowed to vote for the product they deemed as not only the most innovative, but also the most effective and coveted. During the red carpet awards ceremony Me & The Girls was awarded the highly sought after “Best New Product” title after having only a window of 5 hours to promote, display and demonstrate the products rewarding characteristics.

Sharon Hackney, Me & The Girls Founder and CEO, was quoted as saying:
“I am the recipient of unimaginable favor. It is rewarding enough to be included in the Splash Pavilion at the HBA, but to also have our product highlighted and recognized as the best new product among your peers is all too surreal. I feel both humbled and validated all within the same breath.”

From the branded eco friendly packaging to the inclusive name and sustainable outsourced cupuacu seed butter, Me & The Girls is well on its way to proving that organic beauty brands are more than just brown packaging and shea butter.
